    Description

Very cool looking Northwest Orient Airlines DC-7 battery operated airplane made by Yonezawa.
The American flag on the wings has only 48 stars which would date the airplane to sometime before 1959 when Alaska and Hawaii were granted to statehood.
The airplane in very good condition with brightly colored litho and displays well. When I put in the batteries (3 "D" size) and turn the switch on, the wheels turn, the props all spin and the red beacon light on top flashes. Not sure if the flight attendant door is supposed to open by itself but it does open manually and when the flight attendant pops out, the passengers in the windows disappear. Each prop is missing one blade and there is a little surface rust in the battery compartment as seen in the pictures.
Plane is made of tin and the wing span is 23-1/2 in. by 21-1/2 in. long.
Please look closely at the pictures and ask questions if unsure about anything.
